Yes! LIGHTLINK for Windows works with Philips Hue.
To connect Philips Hue to Corsair iCUE and sync your lighting with Lightlink, follow these steps:
Requirements
- Philips Hue lights: You’ll need color-capable Hue lights and a Hue Bridge (the square-shaped version).
- Corsair iCUE 4 (or higher) software: Ensure it’s updated to the latest version that supports Hue integration.
- Philips Hue mobile app: Installed on your smartphone or smart device for initial setup.
- LIGHTLINK Windows version: Installed on the same computer that you are running iCUE on.
Step-by-Step Process
1. Set Up an Entertainment Area in the Philips Hue App
- Open the Philips Hue mobile app.
- Go to the **Settings** menu and select **Entertainment areas**.
- Create a new Entertainment area or edit an existing one.
- In the **Choose lights** section, select the Hue lights you want iCUE to control (up to 10 lights per area).
- Configure the placement of your lights in the Entertainment zone to match their physical layout (e.g., behind your monitor or around the room).
- Tap **Done** to save the Entertainment area.
- Exit the Hue app once this is complete.
2. Enable Philips Hue Integration in iCUE
- Open the Corsair iCUE software on your PC.
- Click the **Settings** button (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
- Scroll to the **Integrations** section.
- Toggle the **Philips Hue** integration to **ON**. iCUE will automatically detect your Hue Bridge on the same network.
- If the Bridge isn’t detected, ensure your PC and Hue Bridge are on the same Wi-Fi network, and check for firewall or network issues.
3. Pair iCUE with Your Hue Bridge
- Return to the iCUE home screen.
- Locate the **Philips Hue** tile that appears after enabling the integration.
- Hover over the tile and click **Setup Wizard**.
- Select **Run Wizard** and follow the on-screen prompts:
- Press the physical button on your Hue Bridge when prompted to authorize the connection.
- iCUE will pair with the Bridge and pull in the Entertainment area(s) you set up.
- Once paired, your Hue lights will appear as controllable zones in iCUE.
4. Restart LIGHTLINK
- When LIGHTLINK is started, your Philips Hue lights will turn green if the connection was successful.
Troubleshooting Tips
- **Bridge not detected**: Restart iCUE, ensure the Bridge is powered on, and verify network connectivity.
- **Lights not syncing**: Confirm the lights are assigned to an Entertainment area in the Hue app, as only those lights work with iCUE.
- **Software issues**: Update iCUE and the Hue app to their latest versions.
If you prefer connecting through Razer synapse, your lights will be limited to 4 "zones" and result in a less dynamic light show.
